On 16th October, Firestorm members ventured out into the Abyss for the usual Friday Night PvP event. After receiving some fierce resistance just outside the Primum Fortress from what seemed to be roughly 50 or so Elyos, Firestorm headed elsewhere in the Abyss in search of blood. However, we decided to try something new for a change. Firestorm had its first attempt on taking an Artifact. We wiped due to no previous knowledge of handling the fight, but we did damn well for a first attempt, dropping the Artifact High Protector to 15% of his HP.
Keen for a proper attempt, we reformed and adjusted our tactics to take down the boss. Ten minutes later, we were back on the island containing the Abyssal Aura artifact, just north of Siel's Eastern Fortress in the Lower Abyss. We fought hard, well coordinated and came out on top. The final boss was a bit of a pain, having two adds that respawned as soon as they died. They were taken care of by our skilled sorcerers, Elane, Selveria, Saken and Seeker. Definitely one of the keys to success of the fight. We had our fearless tank Rayman taking the hits from the High Protector and only two Clerics on the healing job; Edaniel and Dante. Special mentions go out to Levarus and Alzran for constantly keeping an eye on those green bars and helping the Clerics top them up. A few minutes later, and the Abyssal Aura artifact was ours! Firestorm's first imprint on Nezekan's Abyss.

Using similar strategies to what we had employed earlier, Firestorm took the southern-most Artifact on its first attempt!

It was here when we were really tested. The layout is the same as our first Artifact but we received Elyos resistance midfight. After some quick orders handed out by myself, group 2 was very quick to dispose of their threat ASAP. During this fight, group 2 consisted of Roguelette, Hyouri, Drunkenbull, Elane and Renzokuken. Well done guys! Even after the interruption, we came out on top on the first attempt. Impeccably handled by everyone. Once we get a few more levels higher, Firestorm will venture into the depths of the Abyss Fortresses.
